Tidy Plates: Threat Plates - Version 8.2

Comments & Tickets

  • Tidy Plates: Threat Plates (TPTP for short) is a theme for use with Tidy Plates with patch 5.0.4 or later WoW client. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.

  • SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.
  • Ace3 profiling.
  • Low memory footprint.
  • Threat system management.
  • Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.
  • Customizable widgets.
  • Customizable totem nameplates.
  • Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.

  • /tptp - Displays options.
  • /tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.
  • /tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.
  • /tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.
  • /tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.
  • /tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.

Additional Information:

  • A considerable amount of information about options and its internal priorities are not gone into details. Most options that are enable or disable based will toggle off options that are no longer changeable once enabled or disabled. If you have any questions about options and what they do, feel free to leave a comment or PM me here for more information.

For some reason, within the past few days I have started to notice that if someone else tags a mob (take Timeless Isle as a place), it's plate totally disappears. Prior, the plate stayed but the mob's healthy bar went gray. I DID check the standard" Blizz controls, but they seem normal (i.e. where I left them the last time I looked which was a LONG time ago!). Yikes!

    Good morning folks !

I use Tidy Plates: Threat Plates and i had no problem with it in PvE, but when i play arena the plates of pets, totems and also players often change randomly.

It might appear that all Stampede pets are shown me as the rogue for instance. That's how it look like http://i.imgur.com/IWSXZnv.jpg It also happens randomly in duels http://i.imgur.com/m57Kz9s.jpg You can see it in this picture best, both hunter pets are marked as warriors, but usually it should be 80% scaled npc plates. http://imgur.com/1cz2Vg3

Anyone an idea how i can solve this?

I've been a user of TPTP for years and find it integral to being able to tank.

I've recently got into raid tanking and have a question:

Is there anyway to make it so that when the OTHER tank has aggro, the bars stay small but go , say, blue?

At the moment I cannot tell if the other tank has aggro, or if a DPS/Healer is being attacked which is making for unnecessary Taunts, as the bar just goes BIG and RED and causes panic.

Hey suicidialkatt, I wanted to do something with TPTP and i was hoping you could help me out. First of let me start by saying it's a wonderful addon, now what I want to do is make it to where I can show friendly class icons without having their hp bar showing as well. For example, in arena I want to know where my teammates are just by looking at their icon, I dont want it getting too clustered with both enemy and friendly name plates.

Do you know if this is possible to do?

    @Keeper: Go

Keeper, I want to thank you for posting your comment.

In light of the new CVar changes coming with patch 5.4.8 I will have to add some small conditionals to certain option check boxes to ensure players don't receive errors ( if you're in combat, sorry but you can't change this option ).

Other than that this should not effect the threat interactivity that you've come to know and love.

Please continue to use Threat Plates and be sure to use the latest alpha as it is available. Thank you for using TPTP!

    Hi suicidalkatt,

As a tank this is my #1 favorite addon (100% serious) so I have to ask:

Will the changes to CVars in 5.4.8 break Threat Plates, and/or reduce its ability to indivate which modes I have threat on?

    See: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/12674209697?page=1

Thanks for keeping this addon current & available for everyone!
