Tidy Plates: Threat Plates - Version 8.2

Comments & Tickets

  • Tidy Plates: Threat Plates (TPTP for short) is a theme for use with Tidy Plates with patch 5.0.4 or later WoW client. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.

  • SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.
  • Ace3 profiling.
  • Low memory footprint.
  • Threat system management.
  • Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.
  • Customizable widgets.
  • Customizable totem nameplates.
  • Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.

  • /tptp - Displays options.
  • /tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.
  • /tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.
  • /tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.
  • /tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.
  • /tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.

Additional Information:

  • A considerable amount of information about options and its internal priorities are not gone into details. Most options that are enable or disable based will toggle off options that are no longer changeable once enabled or disabled. If you have any questions about options and what they do, feel free to leave a comment or PM me here for more information.

    Hi suicidalkatt,

As a tank this is my #1 favorite addon (100% serious) so I have to ask:

Will the changes to CVars in 5.4.8 break Threat Plates, and/or reduce its ability to indivate which modes I have threat on?

    See: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/12674209697?page=1

Thanks for keeping this addon current & available for everyone!

Thanks for your reaction. But had no luck fixing the problem. I even tried to re-install tidy plates and threat plates but the problem remains. The training Dummy's are my reference that it does not work. They still don't show plates.

Is there someone out there that has/had the same thing and knows a way to fix it.

I like your addon and wanne thank you for making a good addon even better with your expantion. I tried it out recently and liked the way u can custimize your plates even more. However I came across a problem I could not solve.

It seems I can't see any plates on a grey target. I mean a target that is already targeted by another player. In the blizzard default setting these targets show up grey, so u know u can't loot these enemies. Tidy plates does the same thing but when I use threatplates they disappear. I tried to tinker with some of the settings, but no luck there. Any tips on how to handle this issue.

Kind Recards, and keep up the good work

I'd like to say that this is one of my favorite addons, and I sincerely hope you carry on updating it into the upcoming expansion. Your hard work has made my WoW experience significantly better.

With the most recent alpha update, the debuff widget no longer functions. Just thought I'd let you know.

Thanks mate and keep up the good work!

Hey SuicdalKatt, first things first. I wanted to absolutely thank you for the creation of such an awesome add-on for tanking. It really changed the way I played the game, and I think it's done the same for many tanks across the World of Warcraft!

With that being said, I wanted to ask if you were familiar with unusual behavior with how Threat Plates picks up on certain adds, and if there is something I can do for it. It seems that on Heroic Immerseus the "Congealed Sha" adds are not being picked up as being aggro controlled. Is there anything that I can do in custom settings to catch this or is it just due to the weird way that the adds themselves spawn with no "owner"?

Apologies if a ticket already exists for this, I couldn't find it. :(

Ah ok thanks, though my latest question is a totally separate issue.

Is it normal that Threat Plates requires a target to be selected to see the active debuffs on it, but Tidyplates (without Threat Plates) is able to show the debuffs without having to click on it?

I ask this in regards to multidotting. Thanks!
